Sharyland Utilities Announces 2 Public Meetings on GSEC to White River Transmission Project
On August 6th and 8th, Sharyland Utilities will be
hosting a public open house to learn more about the 345kV transmission
line project that they are planning to build through parts of Hale and
Floyd Counties, TX. This proposed transmission line will connect new
gas-fueled electric generation facilities that will be constructed by
Golden Spread Electric Cooperative, Inc. (GSEC). To learn more about

TWA Magazine Runs 6-Part Series on Conservation Easements
Starting in February, the Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) Magazine
began running a special, 6-part series every other month on conservation
easements that was developed in collaboration with the Texas
Agricultural Land Trust. This month marks the 4th installment
in this series and focuses on the ‘Responsibilities’ of landowners and
land trusts in making a conservation easement deal successful. If you
