| Four houses receive AIA Design Awards |
| Four
Lake|Flato homes, six projects in total, were recently recognized at
the AIA San Antonio Design Awards Gala for their excellence in design.
“What we are noticing this firm did really well is engaging the site and
leveraging kind of the experience of the site and architecture in
authentic ways that are quiet and sophisticated — and then at other
times very bold. I think it is all something we can learn from but also
think it’s inspiration to get back to the basics,” commented juror Josh
Shelton, AIA. |

| Lakeside Retreat on cover of LUXE |
| Lakeside
Retreat was recently featured on the cover of LUXE: Austin + Hill
Country Magazine. The home, located 50 miles northwest of Austin, was
designed as a weekend retreat that takes advantage of the lake views.
"One night, we watched the moon rise up from the lake and over the
home's successive panels of glass. Where else do you get that?" said the
client in her interview with Luxe. |
